The game simulates realistic collisions and trajectory paths, meaning a slight change in aim or power can significantly alter the result. This system encourages players to think carefully about each move, as the virtual table behaves much like its real-world counterpart.

Match Formats & Opponents

Players can choose between two primary modes. Solo play pits you against an AI opponent whose skill level can be adjusted, allowing newcomers to learn the basics and veterans to find a tougher challenge. Alternatively, the local two-player mode lets friends compete on the same device, taking turns at the table. Both modes follow standard eight-ball rules, where each player is assigned either solids or stripes and must clear their set before legally pocketing the eight ball.

Controls & Cue Management

The touch controls are designed for direct interaction. You aim by dragging your finger across the screen to position the cue stick, and a visual guide helps estimate the path of the cue ball. Power is adjusted with a slider, enabling delicate touches for precise positioning or stronger breaks for the opening shot. The interface remains uncluttered, keeping the focus on the table and the current shot.

Strategic Depth

Success in Pocket Pro requires more than just accurate aiming. Players must plan several moves ahead, considering not only which ball to pocket but also where the cue ball will end up. This positional play is key to setting up future shots and limiting the opponent's options. Defensive strategies, such as leaving the cue ball behind a cluster of balls, become important in competitive matches.
